Bath Empties with Mini Reviews

I don't know about any of you, but the one thing I constantly find "empty" in my house other than the toilet paper holder, is hair care and body care items.  I had a few I wanted to show you and tell you my thoughts on, so here we go.

First up, we have the Suave Professionals Moisture Mask.  I have been using this as my regular conditioner and I really do enjoy it.

The smell of it is really nice and I especially love the thickness of the product.  I do have very fine and thin hair and surprisingly this does not weigh my hair down at all.  I did not repurchase this yet, though its not because I don't love it.  Unfortunately,  I ran out of it and couldn't find it at the store, so I purchase the Garnier Whole something or the other hair mask.  I like the Suave one much better and am trying feverishly to use up the Garnier one quickly so I can get back to my Suave (I found it again and stocked up).

Next up is another hair product.  This one is from a Boxy Charm subscription.  It's the Project Beauty Hairgurt, Smoothing Yogurt Shampoo in Strawberry Banana.  First of all, the smell is spot on to strawberry banana yogurt.  However, it didn't give quite the results I was hoping for.

About six months ago in previous Boxy Charm, I received the Project Beauty Yogurt conditioner.  I loved it so much.  It made my hair smooth and soft.  I could tell immediately that the frizz was controlled substantially.  I wish I could have said the same for the shampoo, but unfortunately I could not.  It didn't seem to do any kind of smoothing on my hair and actually, it didn't do much else either.  It's not as though I hate the shampoo, because it did clean my hair....it just lacked anything to be desired for me.  I have other shampoos that give me results that I can see and feel and this one just didn't do it.  The smell was the one good thing it had going for it though.

That's all the hair products so we will now be moving on to the body care items.
For a little history, I have some extremely dry skin on my legs.  It is so dry and itchy that there have been times that I would take a hair brush and scrub the heck out of my legs to scratch them.  I'm not proud of that, but desperate times they were.  So I have always been on the look out for anything to give me relief from the itch.  I used to use the Bath and Body Works 24H Moisture lotion, but after many years using this with great success, it was like my legs just didn't stand for it anymore.  They actually became sensitive to the lotion I had graciously slathered my legs with for over 7 years.  I went on the hunt this past winter and came across this Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer and decided to give it a try.

Wet moisturizers are not a new product, in fact I tried a similar product out many years ago, but didn't care too much for the sticky film it left.  I was pretty sure it was made by Jergens, but I could definitely be wrong on that.  Anyways, my mom was talking about it one day and saying how she'd like to try it out, and when I found it on the shelf, I purchased her one and me one.  When I saw the claim of "heals extra dry skin" I decided to try it out and see if that was in fact true.  Long story short, I LOVED it!!  What you see in the picture is actually my second bottle.  Of course,  I still love my Bath and Body scented lotions and use them everyday, but not on my legs.  I use Jergens everyday on my legs and that's all I use.  It had helped so much with my itchy skin and on the plus side, there is no sticky residue or film left on my legs.  It sinks in my skin well, it smells wonderful (the Argon Oil is my fav), and it just works.  I still use my BBW lotions but on the rest of my body and just keep the wet moisturizer for my legs only.  It's worked out very, very well for me at this point in time.

Moving on.....
Last item on my list of empties is the Dove Shower Foam.  I am a sucker for scents.  I won't lie, I'm not embarrassed by it, and will shout out to the world.  I buy shampoo and body wash, lotions and even household cleaning products based upon how it smells.  I can't help it.  I have to smell nice.  When I saw the commercial for this product, I became intrigued....but not by the usage claims.  After first use, I was in love with the scent.

It was a scent that brings me back to my teenage years actually.  I used to use some sort of body wash that smelled like this Dove one does, back then.  I don't know what it was or who it was made by, but I spent years trying to find that soap again because of the smell.  And finally years upon years later, here it is....empty of course.  Now that you know it smells wonderful, I guess I could tell you how it performs.  LOL  For me, it does not do anything notably special to my skin.  I don't notice glowing radiant or deeply moisturized skin, however, I do sense a little moisture from it.  Truth be told, I don't use body wash for the moisturizing.  I have plenty of lotions to help me out there.  I use it for the obvious body washing, but mostly it is the experience of using the product.  Its the scent of it (mostly), the way it lathers up and how it makes me feel when I use it that I look for in a body wash product and this one fits all of those for me.

My shower is my oasis.  That is my special "mommy time" where no one bothers me, I can relax in my shower with my wonderful scented products then walk out feeling pampered and ready for the day ahead.  This is the gift I give to myself and  because I do have to shower, I feel that I might as well make it a blissful spa like experience.

One thing for sure about me is that I will take ordinary things that I have to do and make them extraordinary things to do, and my shower is where that all started for me.

So that's all of my empties I have.  I am sure to have more coming soon so be on the lookout for that post.  What are your favorite products for the shower? Do you make your daily shower as blissful as I?  Let me know in the comment section below.

Until next time, take care.
