Rimmel Electric Violet Tutorial

Happy Monday!!  Is that an oxymoron or just moronic to say? Anyways, I have been playing with my Rimmel Electric Violet pallet this week and wanted to show off some looks I created.  I hope you enjoy!

I started out prepping  my transition and crease area with color #2 and a fluffy blending brush.  Then I patted color #5 on the outer V area and blended it up and over towards the crease.

On another flat brush use it to pat color #7 all over the lid and blend towards color #5 in the outer V.  I used a cream liner in my lower water line and then smudged color#10 on my lower lash line.

Black liquid liner on my top lash line and ton of mascara and the eye look is complete.  I used the Covergirl Peach Punch face pallet for my bronzer and blush and then I used the new Maybelline Matte Ink liquid lipstick in Visonary.

An interesting thing about this color is that while it goes on kind of light and almost taupe looking, but when it dries down it ends up being quite a bit darker.....now I have about five of these liquid lip sticks and none of the other ones do this....this is the only one I personally have found that dries darker.

And there you have my look using the Rimmel Magnif'Eyes Electric Violet pallet.

I have not quite come to any conclusion about my review on this pallet.....the texture is not as good as the Rimmel Magnif'Eyes Crimson pallet, but I enjoy the looks I have created so far.  I want to go for a deep smokey eye look using this pallet and I REALLY want to play with the teal color as well.

Well, that's about all the makeup talk I have for today....I am working on two more looks for this pallet to show you so be on the look out for those.  But my next post will be a review and comparison for a high end product I was sent for review....I will compare it to my drugstore favorites and tell you if the splurge is worth the money or not.

But for today, that's all I have.  I will talk to you all again soon, until next time, take care.
