Last tutorial and final thoughts on EmilyNoel83 x Makeup Revolution The Wants pallet

Happy Friday!! I am so ready for the weekend!! I actually don't know why though, its not like I'm doing anything exciting...that I know of, at least.  But I guess I'm just ready to sleep in a bit.

So today is the very last day of my series of using the EmilyNoel83 The Wants pallet from Makeup Revolution.  Are you excited to see the very easy smokey look I did?  Well, let's get to it...

First up I went in very easily with Hobby (A) and used it all throughout my crease.  I wanted to start out very light and work my way into the depth of the look. Then I went with Apartment (B), which is a bit darker of a brown and used it right below, overlapping Hobby.

Ok, here's where we get dark and smokey.  I patted Dark and Early (D) all over my lid, but then I took it to the outer V and blended it over towards the crease a bit.  I also went back with a fluffy brush and blended the edges of Dark and Early so it transitioned into Apartment better.  Go very light and easy when applying Dark and Early and don't forget to blend.  Next I used Oh Heavens (E) in the inner corner of my eye for much needed brightness.

I lined my upper lash line with black liquid liner and my lower water line with black pencil.

Now, here's where my camera shut off on me.  I used Apartment (C) to smudge out the lower lash line and then used Cream to highlight the brow bone.  At first I wasn't going to mess with the brow bone, but it just looked bare and needed something.  Now, you will want to curl your lashes and apply a good dose of mascara.  When your lids are this dark and smokey your lashes can get lost really easily.  If I wasn't worried about time, I would have just applied false lashes, but I didn't.  I think that I am going to recreate this look this coming weekend and use falsies to amp it up even farther.

For my lips I went in with Loreal's Freida's Nude and my blush was the Wet N Wild in Apri-cot in the Middle.  And there's the final look.

I like doing these types of smokey eyes because of how easy they are, and the drama it creates is outstanding.

Now, let's look at all of the swatches for this pallet.

Here's the pallet and in the photos below you will see the swatches on my arm from each horizontal row.

For my final thoughts on this pallet....I LOVE it!! I think Emily and Makeup Revolution did an absolute stellar job on creating and executing this pallet.  The quality is phenomenal and the price being only $20 is amazing!!

I would stamp my seal of approval all over this pallet and say that it's a wonderful staple to have in your collection.  It has some color to play with but it also has very comfortable shades to appeal to anyone on any occasion.

The shades are not overly shocking pigmented, but not under pigmented either.  I think they struck a very nice balance with how they apply.  They are very soft shadows and have a bit of fallout, but not so much that it makes an obscene mess all over your face either.

The pallet package is very durable, the mirror is the entire size of the top lid and while the pallet in size is big, its not bulky but actually very thin.  So, I give it two Texas sized thumbs up in my makeup collection!

Well, I think I've said all I can about this pallet.  I'm kind of sad that my series on this pallet is over, but excited to start using the Maybelline Soda Pop pallet next.  I won't quit using The Wants pallet, but I have a few more pallets I need to start trying out, along with my Boxy Charm and Ipsy box reviews.  So I've got my plate full right now.

But for today, and this week, that's all I got.  I hope you enjoyed and it was somewhat helpful.  If you have any questions, just let me know and I'll answer to the best of my ability.  But for now, I will talk to you all again next week.  Until next time, take care.

Look #4 - EmilyNoel83 The Wants Pallet x Makeup Revolution

This week has flown by for some reason...I know it wasn't because it was "fun" either.  I was at the dentist office twice this week and I found no "fun" in those two days.  But we are finally at the home stretch, just today and tomorrow and the weekend begins!!

On a very side note:  Did you notice sleepy little Scooby in the corner there of my photo above?  :)

We are also on the home stretch of my makeup tutorials using my EmilyNoel83 The Wants Pallet x Makeup Revolution today.  I only have two looks to show you until my series is complete.  So let's not waste anymore time and hop to it.

I wanted to dive into the purples and play today, so that's what I was after.  With having green eyes, it's an almost guarantee that the purple colored shadows will easily amp up the green, I do adore the purples!

First up I wanted to go light to dark with my eyes.  I went in with Eve Rose (A) and packed it on the inner third of my lid.  Then I flipped that flat brush over and packed Belle Violet (B) on the absolute middle third of my lid.

I used a small crease brush to apply Pi Phi (C) to my outer V and blended it into the crease.  Then I used The Cream (D) on my brow bone.

I went in with a cream colored inner rim liner and then smudged Pi Phi (C) on the lower lash line.  Black liquid liner on top and tons of mascara and the eye look was complete.

I used Milani Dolce Pink for my blush and Covergirl's lip color in Divine for my lips to give it a more purple tone to the entire look.  And there it is...my purple look using the EmilyNoel83 The Wants pallet.

What did you think about the purples?  I could have used the eggplant purple color called Family for my outer V if I wanted to make it deeper, but for today, I knew I wanted a bold lip so I went just a hair lighter on the eyes.  :)

But that's my fourth look using this pallet.  Tomorrow I have one more look and its a classic smokey eye.  I'm excited to show you the look tomorrow plus I will have all of the swatches on the pallet and give you my final thoughts and review on it as well.

I hope you will visit me again here at 523!! I will see you all again tomorrow, until then, take care.

Look #3 using the EmilyNoel83 The Wants Pallet

Happy Wednesday!! Are you ready for some more looks using the Emily Noel x Makeup Revolution The Wants? I'm ready to show off another look today for you.  Today we are using the pinks and mauves.

I love how great pink and mauve go together.  They are so fun to wear and I think it adds a certain brightness combined with a sweetness, to the face when pink is involved.

First up I started with the transition color.  For this I used Laugh Cry all throughout the crease.

I next went into the dark pink color called Love Tons and applied it to the outer V.

I took the shimmery mauve called Heartbeat and applied it to the middle of my lid and slightly overlapped the Love Tons color.

I used Pizzazz in the first third of my eye and overlapped the Heartbeat color a bit.

I used The Cream on the brow bone and the inner corner.

I went in with a cream liner in the inner rim and black liquid liner on the top lash line.

For my lower lash line, I wanted some more definition but not so much to warrant using a black pencil in the water line.  So I went in with a flat definer brush and used Dark and Early to apply it to the lash line.  I then took Love Tons with a pencil brush and ran it right below the Dark and Early to give it a slight pink tint and to lighten it up a notch.  I of course went in with Mascara following all of this.

On my cheeks I went in with Tea Rose from Milani, for my lips I used a combination of Revlon's lip color in Stylist and topped it with Loreal's gloss in Rose Melody.

And there is my completed look.  What do you think?  I just love the pinks in this pallet.  They are the perfect color of pink but neutral and so very wearable.....at least I think so.

So there's look #3 using the EmilyNoel83 The Wants pallet by Makeup Revolution.  Tomorrow I will have a purple look to show case, so come back and visit me to see it.

I love doing these posts, it so much fun for me.  In a house of all boys (the fish is even a boy) and being the only girl, I have found myself losing my girly-ness at times.  I love that part of me, so I want to make sure I keep time to myself to be that girl I want to be.  And I truly feel this blog allows me to do that.

I appreciate you visiting me here and hope you will come back again really soon.  Until next time, take care.

EmilyNoel83 The Wants Pallet - Look #2

Hello, and how are you all on this wonderful Tuesday?  I'm doing much  better today.  My dental work I had done yesterday wasn't a joy ride but it wasn't horrific either.  While the shots and the actual procedure didn't hurt a bit, I was very sore when the numbing wore off.  I think it was because my jaw had been opened for so long while he fixed my tooth.  But anyways, I'm better today, I'm not dribbling water from my mouth all over my shirt today and in my book that makes it a happy day!!! :)

Seriously, I'm just kidding.  But drinking anything yesterday was a bit difficult and I did avoid it at all costs....so today I am getting my body back hydrated.  Ok, enough drooling talk, let's get back to the EmilyNoel83 and Makeup Revolution pallet called The Wants pallet.

I showed you a smokey neutral look yesterday and today the green colors were just screaming at me to use them.  So I happily obliged. I hope you like the look...let's hop to it.

I wanted a transition color so I decided to go with the warm color Midwest and use it all in my crease.  I also wanted to do a cat eye, so you will see me holding up a sheet of paper next to my eye to give me that sharp edge look.

I was ready for the green.  For this look I used the color Corduroy in my outer V and lower crease area.  Do not go in into Corduroy heavy handed.  What you see in the photo below is the third time I dipped my brush in the color.  I went in light and easy and blend, blend, blend before adding more color.

I went in with a flat brush and patted Dark and Early on the outer V for some deep smokey-ness.

On another flat brush I used Side Hustle and patted it on the absolute middle third of my lid.

Flipped that brush over and patted Grateful on the inner third of my lid....this allowed all three greens to make a gradient look and transition from light to dark.

I went back with my fluffy blender and Midwest and just lightly applied it to the edge of the green for some added blending.

I used Cream on my brow bone and Oh Heavens in my inner corner.

Black liquid liner on the top lash line, black pencil liner in my lower water line then smudged out with Side Hustle on the lower lash line and tons of mascara.

I used Elf's Bronze Blush Duo in St. Lucia for my cheeks and Rimmel's Airy Fairy on my lips and the look was complete.

I love, love, LOVE green eyeshadows.  I don't know if it's because I have green eyes, or why I like them so much, but I do.  Tomorrow's look I'm going to town with the pinks and then on Thursday I am kicking it with the purples....I can't wait to show the looks to you.

But for today, that's all I got.  I hope you will visit me again tomorrow for more looks using the EmilyNoel83 The Wants pallet.

Until next time, take care.

It's going to be a full week review and tutorials using the new EmilyNoel83 x Makeup Revolution pallet

Happy Monday!!  Isn't that more of an oxymoron?  What's really that "happy" about waking up early from sleeping in for two days straight?

Anyways, my Monday didn't start off all that happy..... I got to get up this morning, take Caleb to school extra early and then I had to head to the dentist to have my tooth fixed.  I have never in my life had a cavity nor any other major dental issues, other than my wisdom teeth coming out.  But about 10 days ago, I swiped my tongue on a back tooth of mine and it cut it.

I apparently somewhere, somehow, broke the tooth and it had a very sharp edge on it.  The dentist couldn't get me in until today to finally fix it....I am so relieved its done now.  However, my entire face feels numb, I keep wiping what I think is my nose, because it feels like it's running, my upper lip itches but I can't seem to scratch it and each time I drink something it dribbles all down the front of my shirt.  I'm a total mess today.

I'm happy with the results, and I didn't feel any pain, even the multiple shots he gave me to deaden my gums, I didn't even feel that.  So I'm a happy drooling camper right now, just unable to speak very well at this point...

Anyways, let's talk makeup shall we? Namely Makeup Revolution's collaboration with Youtube makeup guru, EmilyNoel83.  She was the one of the first Youtubers, I watched back before Caleb was even born, that did makeup tutorials.  I learned so much from her over the years.  She's the one who I learned liquid liner and false eyelash applications from, just because of watching her videos.  Her personality is what really makes her channel have the wonderful success that she rightfully deserves.  She such a sweet and kind person and I love the message that she puts out to the world.

She finally got her really big break when Makeup Revolution asked her to create pallet and collaboration with them, this past year.  It finally launched and I just had to get my hands on it.  So this week is all about this massive (I mean MASSIVE) pallet.  So let's get started...

I'm going to break this all up throughout the week so not to overwhelm you....or me.  But today I'm going to show you an overview of the pallet and give a tutorial and continue on the rest of the week with tutorials of the different ways I have used this pallet.  At the end of the week, I will give you my full thoughts and swatches of the entire pallet as well.  I hope you like it...

So here's the actual pallet and the colors in it.  There are so many great combinations in here that the sky is most certainly the limit here.  The pinks, greens and purples are what typically call my name out the loudest.  But today I wanted to show you a neutral smokey eye that I created.

First up I went in with Hobby and applied it all throughout my crease.

With a smaller crease brush I went in with Apartment and used it on the inner crease area.  This is just slightly below where we applied Hobby.

I wanted to deepen the outer V  but I wasn't feeling the dark coal color, so I went in with Family, a very deep eggplant shade, and used it in the outer V

I went in with Top Story and swiped it all over the first two thirds of my lid.  I really wanted the gold to show up quite a bit so I made it go farther across my lid than usual.

The Cream is the perfect brow bone highlight for me, so you will be seeing me use this and only this on the brow bone.

I decided to line my lower water line with some dark brown pencil liner and then I went back with Family again and a pencil brush and ran it along the lower lash line to smudge it all out.

I applied black liquid liner to my top lash line and a ton of mascara to complete the eyes.  I used Milani's Belissimo Bronze for my blush and my Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick in Rose and Shine.

And here's the completed look.

And there's my first look of many using The Wants from EmilyNoel83 and Makeup Revolution.  I hope you liked it and will come back tomorrow and see my next look I create.  If you have any questions or makeup products you'd like to know more about, let me know in the comment section below.

For today, that's all I have, I will be back again tomorrow with more.  So, until next time, take care.

Tutorial #2 City Mini Blushed Ave.

I was saying the other day, that I can't believe I found yet another Maybelline City Mini pallet at the store.  I keep swearing that I have finally collected all of them...but again they surprise me with more pallets being released.

If you have been with me for any length of time, you'll know that I completely adore the little pallets.  They are so travel friendly and compact, but the quality of them is out of the world....except the Girls Night Glimmer....that one lacks a bit of everything.  But out of the majority of them, they are fantastic.

Today, I am bringing you another Blushed Ave. tutorial using the gorgeous purple color.  So, let's jump right in, shall we?

First up I used the color B and brushed it all throughout my crease for some transitioning color.

Remember that potted liner / brow pomade / cream shadow from my last Boxy Charm?  Well, I used it all over my lid with a little concealer brush....just keeping it on the lid only.

Next I took another flat brush and picked up color C and then spritzed it with setting spray.  I applied the color all over the brown cream shadow.

I went in with a small but fluffy brush and applied (dry) color C right above the purple on the lid.  The point here is to make the dark purple blend into the lighter (dry) purple....does that make any sense at all?

I went back with my fluffy brush and color B and very lightly applied it to the outer border of the purple...this allowed it to soften up a bit, blend together and ultimately not have a harsh purple line.

I went in with color D and swiped it on my brow bone for highlighting.

Black pencil liner in my water line, color C on lower lash line to smudge out the liner, black liquid line on top lash line and then finish all off with mascara.

I used the Wet N Wild Color Icon blush in Apri-cot In the Middle and for my lips I used the Maybelline Mauve Mania lip color.

And that was all there was to my look.  What do you think?  I just can't get enough of that purple shadow color in the pallet.  I love how it takes on a severe depth with the brown cream shadow underneath it.  While purple is a very common color I have in my collection, I don't think I have a purple quite like this one from the Blushed Ave. pallet.

Tell me what you think....Are you a purple shadow fan?  I really think purple flatters all types of skin tones.  But that's just my own thoughts.  I'd love to know what pallets you are loving right now?  Tell me all about it in the comment section below.

I will be back again for some more makeup talk, really soon.  Until next time, take care.
